Employment 

2022 - Present

RCC and Founder of Moss & Fern Counselling

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC I have opened up my own private practice focusing on nature-based expressive/narrative therapy. My private practice started as two locations (Surrey and New Westminster) and now I work full time out of one office in New Westminster.

2022 - 2023

Registered Clinical Counsellor, Westcoast Family Centers

In the capacity of an Registered Clinical Counsellor, I worked with WFC as their FLA (Family Law Act) Registered Clinical Counsellor and casual Registered Clinical Counsellor for their Family T.I.E.S. program. I worked in both adult oriented as well as play-based work with children. 

2021 - 2022

Intern, Westcoast Family Centres

With WFC I worked as a play-based intern and also assisted with running adult focused online groups including parenting teens with concurrent disorders, neurodiverse parenting support group and a domestic and relationship violence survivors group. 

2016 - 2022

Confident Parents: Thriving Kids Behavioural, Canadian Mental Health Association BC

Starting as an Intake Coordinator, I then became a coach for the CP:TK-B tele-health provincial program for parents referred by their family doctors/social workers parenting children with behavioural concerns. 6, 10 or 14 week parenting support was provided through the PMTO model with weekly reflective group and/or one-to-one supervision to maintain program fidelity. 

2012 - 2017

Grace Mansion Supportive Transitional Housing, The Salvation Army 

Through a residential support worker role residents of the transitional housing program would receive support in managing their concerns (mental health, addiction, refugee/immigration status) while supporting any life skills training needed while working with the residents care team for wrap around support. 

2013 - 2015

Howe Street Supportive Housing, McLaren Housing Society 

Howe Street housing a mixed harm reduction supportive housing and low cost housing for those living with HIV. As a building attendant I was able to support residents with their needs including writing and obtaining a grant to start a community garden program and secure a community garden plot nearby. 

2011 - 2012

Dunbar Apartments Supportive Housing, Coast Mental Health

During my time with Dunbar apartments the building was just opening and work was focused on transitioning smoothly for new residents and community. Resident support included medication administration, meal prep, life skills building and other supportive tasks as needed dependant on the resident. 

2010 - 2011

Rice Block Harm Reduction Housing, Atira Women's Resource Society 

At the time I was with Rice Block the building was an adult-focused harm reduction building for those struggling with mental health, addiction and the complications that can arise such as sex work. As a support worker I got the privilege of meeting women where they were at to support them as needed which included community garden and community kitchen work as well as providing life skills support and harm reduction supplies as needed. 

2010 - 2011

Woodward's Supportive Housing, Our Community Security, Portland Hotel Society

At the time this position was in the downstairs lobby/entrance of PHS' Woodwards supportive housing program supporting residents safety and mental health by being their main point of contact they would see entering and leaving the building. 

Volunteering 

2022 - 2024

BC Play Therapy Association Board

From February 2022 to December 2024 I volunteered with the British Columbia Play Therapy Association board as an event-coordinator and then event-coordinator/education commity co-chair the chair. 

2011-2022

Canadian Red Cross DM

As a disaster management responder and in family reunification during/post disasters with the local Canadian Red Cross working with both British Columbians and Albertans during flood, fire and other times of disaster support. 

 2010

Vancouver Rape Relief & Woman's Shelter 

With VRRWS I assisted in shelter, on crisis lines and with other tasks as needed working with the team and women/children directly to assist with safety needs and comfort. 

2006 - 2010

A Loving Spoonful

A Loving Spoonful provides meal delivery for those in need that are HIV+ which I supported as well as assisting with special events as needed.
